Bean root rot is one of the most destructive diseases of commercially grown snap beans in Wisconsin. Because a complex of fungal pathogens causes bean root rot, control procedures have been difficult to develop and implement. This bulletin describes the procedures for collecting representative soil samples from snap bean fields and the analytical techniques used to estimate a field’s potential for developing snap bean root rot (2 pages).
