Description

Author(s): Scott R. Craven, Elden J. Stang

Meadow mouse populations can burgeon to several hundred mice per acre, enough to cause problems to orchard trees, Christmas trees, woody ornamental plants, and lawns. One way to control these heavy-set little voles is to create conditions that encourage hawks, owls, fox, and other mouse hunters to do their worst. If that fails, other methods must be tried—and this publication describes those methods, everything from installing wire mesh mouse guards on trees to spreading chemical repellents (3 pages).
